Just a friendly reminder that the Bishop Desert Scramble begins tonight at 0000Z for the next 6 weeks. If you are interested, check out the "contests" page on my web site. Hope to see some new faces.

Due to Day Light Savings, SHRL will now start at 0000Z.
Also, the Bishop Desert Scramble, will be just a SHRL event rather than a combined MNS / SHRL race.
There is one more day left in the Le Versoud open. Hope to see some new faces.

After today, I will no longer be hosting MNS East nor will I be supplying tasks for MNS. I enjoyed helping continue the fine tradition of Monday Night Soaring and I hope it continues to provide enjoyment for Condor pilots well into the future.

The Rio-Grande desert scramble has moved locations to Bishop in the awesome new Sierra Nevada scenery by Frank Weston.
The contest will be a joint venture of Monday Night Soaring and Sierra Hotel Racing.
The contest period is from March 19 - April 7.
Join times will be Monday at 0000Z and Wednesdays at 0100Z. The Monday races will be part of the normal MNS East schedule and you will be scored as part of MNS East just like usual, but your score will also be calculated on the SHRL site for the Bishop Scramble. Wednesdays will be held on the SHRL server at 0100Z. The best 5 out of 6 race days will be counted.

The weather looks pretty good for tonight’s task. We could definitely use some more people to add to the fun. The league was created mostly so pilots that enjoy MNS have a place to fly on Wednesdays. It’s also meant to be convenient for U.S. pilots. Give it a try and join in.
Thanks,

Day 3 has been cancelled due to only one pilot flying the official server and that pilot landed out.
Unfortunately, my server has an issue right now where it does not shut down automatically and other people were flying the task while the server remained open. So, special recognition goes to Tony Nillson (UGR) for completing the task in not so perfect weather conditions. Thanks for flying!!

The new calendar has been published for next month's race.
Should be a lot of fun!! The more that fly, the more fun it will be, so hope to see everyone there.

It looks like I probably won’t be able to attend the race this Wednesday, but the server will run as always. I hope to see more people join. This will be the mid-point of the Le Versoud Open. Keep your eyes on the contest schedule on www.sierrahotelracing.com because I will be posting the next competition tonight. Even though posting scores is a manual operation for me, I have it down pretty well now. It only takes about 5 minutes after the race is over.
I hope the people that have flown so far are enjoying themselves. Hosting it is a lot of fun for me!!
Thanks,
SH
